SMOK nord 5 Overview
The SMOK nord 5 is a powerful pod kit that uses RPM 3 coils. These come in 0.15ohm and 0.23ohm resistances for sub ohm vaping. It has a built in 2000mAh battery which can output up to 80W. Available in a range of bright and colourful designs, this kit will suit any style. Plus its compact size makes it great when on the move.
A clear 0.96inch OLED screen displays all the important settings. Battery level, output wattage and other settings can all be monitored at a glance. The two buttons below allow users to adjust the settings to suit personal preference.
The large 2000mAh battery can be fully charged in under 2 hours using the USB-C cable. The airflow can also be adjusted used the slider on the back of the device. The air inlet is located on the side of the device and allows for anywhere between large draws for cloud chasing and tight draws for restricted DL vaping.
The 0.15ohm coil has a range of 40-80W. Whereas the 0.23ohm can be used at 20-45W. Both are made with mesh to heat up more e-liquid at a quicker rate. Plus, the large wicking hole allow for thicker e-liquid to be absorbed for larger clouds of vapour.
How to use?
• Remove the pod and insert the coil into the base. The 0.15ohm coil will already be preinstalled so either keep it in place or swap it for the resistance you want to use.
• Unplug the rubber bung at the base and insert the e-liquid. Ensure there is some room left inside the pod to prevent it from leaking.
• Reattach the pod, allowing 10 minutes for the coil to prime.
• Adjust the output wattage using the buttons below the screen. Make sure to check the wattage range on the side of the pod to make sure you don’t burn the coil.
• Use the slider on the back of the device to find the ideal airflow. This may take a few puffs to find the perfect draw.
• Use the power button on the face of the kit to activate the coil.
