SMOK RPM 5 Pro Overview
Requiring an external 18650 battery to power, the RPM 5 Pro can output between 5-80W. Once the battery runs out it can either be swapped out for a new one or recharged quickly through the USB-C charging cable. Airflow inlets are located on either side of the device, which can be adjusted by moving the slider the on the back of the device.
All of the need to know vape settings are displayed on a clear 0.96inch OLED screen. These settings can be adjusted using the two buttons below the screen so vapers can conveniently find their personal preference. The charging port is located on the side of the kit which means it can be stood up while charging. This ensures the mouthpiece doesn’t need to make contact with any surfaces.
The pod fits to the top of the kit through a strong magnetic connection. The e-liquid level is clear from all sides of the pod so users know when it is time to refill. A sliding top fill system allows for easy refills. The coils also have a push fit connection making the overall functionality of the kit very simple. To replace the coil just remove the pod, then pull out the old coil and push in the new one.
This device uses RPM 3 coils which are designed for sub ohm vaping. They come in 0.15ohm and 0.23ohm resistances which work best with high VG e-liquid to create large clouds of vapour. The 0.15ohm coil works best at 40-80W and the 0.23ohm resistance performs at 20-45W.
